Company Profile
Magnus Olesen’s focus is manufacturing and marketing of seating and table furniture. The company was established in 1937 by Magnus Olesen. Today, it is managed by his two sons Kjeld and Flemming Olesen.

Since 1969, the world famous Danish architects Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen have designed Magnus Olesen's complete range of furniture, which primarily consists of molded laminated furniture either in wood, or in wood combined with steel. This is a true timeless design that fits naturally into modern interiors. Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen consider a piece of furniture to be a carefully designed industrial product. In their view, form and function, an honest use of materials, and the use of modern technology, are equally important parameters in the design process. It is no coincidence, that the architects and Magnus Olesen established a sound cooperation early on. For Magnus Olesen, quality and durability have always been important components in the production of functional, simple and timeless design.

In 1959, the founder Magnus Olesen was involved in establishing Danish Furniture Control, an organization that counts 29 quality conscious Danish furniture manufacturers as its members. The association’s objectives are to ensure quality production of Danish furniture and to define the technical norms that contribute to strengthen the trust between furniture manufacturers and furniture buyers. The technical protocol that is the basis for the members’ production describes in detail the demands that a piece of quality furniture must fulfill. Magnus Olesen’s many years of involvement in Danish Furniture Control is typical for his own uncompromising attitude to the concept of quality.
