Company Profile Jesper Kamp and Billy Jagd founded Globe in March 2001. Globe’s objective is to produce furniture for the interplay between people and today’s architecture. Globe furniture is very suitable for use in private homes and in public spaces. |
|
The guiding principles for Globe are to focus on high quality materials, excellent design and ambitious ideas. For the company, the key to successful product development is good design. As Jesper Kamp says, “Good furniture design does not just happen. It is a result of the designer’s perception of necessity, function and convenience. And it all comes together in furniture that is consistent with the architecture of the room or building in which it is placed”.![]() Jazz Design: Anders Nørgaard |

Billy Jagd continues, “Globe’s ambition is to create high quality design furniture that not only meets the basic requirements to quality and flexibility; function and aesthetics are equally important considerations”. Globe’s most prominent designer is Flemming Busk, who is considered one of the most talented newcomers in Danish furniture design. In May 2001, Busk’s daybed Ziggi, produced by Globe, was elected “an outstanding product release” by The Danish Furniture Manufacturers at an exhibition at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair, Copenhagen. Globe also counts Lars Vejen-Jensen and Anders Nørgaard among their gifted designers. |
