| GETAMA was founded in 1899 and specialized in seaweed mattresses in those days. However, times change and today, GETAMA manufactures a wide range of high quality box and spring mattresses that come with various head boards, bedside tables and bed spreads in contemporary design. For more than 40 years, GETAMA has manufactured furniture designed by Hans J. Wegner, and other internationally awarded Danish designers. The Hans Wegner line of furniture is highly appreciated for its design, quality and durability and has become a collector’s item to many people. |

About 10 years ago, GETAMA joined forces with Okamura & Marquardsen, two designers whose different backgrounds (Japanese and Danish) have resulted in the creation of a new generation of contemporary and functional design furniture. Latest, GETAMA has launched new products by the internationally renowned architect, Nanna Ditzel, and Anders Nørgaard. |

| In 1994 GETAMA became part of Temco A/S, a Danish manufacturer of steel products. This new cooperation has resulted in a range of new models that combine the elasticity of steel with the softer lines of wood and upholstery to form an exciting and elegant unity. |
