Elmo Leather Elmo Leather DJOB designs and produces desks which fulfill all requirements of the modern workplace. DJOB's range of products is based on the work desk designed by Arne Jacobsen for the Danish National Bank in 1971. DJOB further developed the desk and it is still being produced by the company.

Established in 1998, DJOB with its managing director Joakim Lassen continues five generations of family tradition in Danish furniture design. Joakim's great-great grandfather Fritz Hansen founded a company under his own name. Joakim's grandfather continued this tradition. Over several years, Joakim’s father Peter Lassen was managing director of Fritz Hansen. Later, Peter Lassen established Montana - famous all over Europe for its unique shelf system.Elmo Leather

Elmo Leather Through many years of cooperation with Henrik Leander, a famous architect known for his innovative design in vegetable fibers, DJOB has designed a lectern and a multi-purpose desk. Last year, Joakim Lassen and Arkitema -a leading Scandinavian architect firm - designed a table for Arkitema's new Headquarters. Recently, DJOB's cooperation with architects Schmidt, Hammer and Lassen, has added yet another desk to the collection.

Arkitema is one of the first architect firms in Denmark to design its own domicile. Designers Joakim Lassen and Louise de Fønss worked together to create a new work desk for Arkitema's employees. The result - the so-called Gabledesk - consists of a tabletop in a sandwich-construction of aluminum and PE. The thin consoles, acting as the feet of the table, are available in a wide range of lacquered and veneered surfaces.

In January 2000, the new Danish Design Centre (DDC) in Copenhagen opened its doors.
DDC is the official national center of Danish design. Mr. Jens Bernsen, Managing Director of DDC said: “We chose the DJOB Height Adjustable Desk for our offices because we value its intelligent and minimalist construction. We also chose the Arne Jacobsen's desk because it perfectly meets our requirements. It is well dimensioned and flexible and can be assembled in many different settings.”

"MP“ stands for Multi-Purpose, and is an apt abbreviation for this highly functional desk. The MP Desk can be used as a conference table, a printer/fax/scanner desk or as a coffee table. It can also be used in combination with the DJOB Height Adjustable Desk with which it shares its design lineage.

The simplicity of the Height Adjustable Lectern's design accentuates sense of space, inviting dialogue between meeting participants and the speaker. Using the height adjustable setting, the unique needs of each speaker can be accounted for - long gone are the days of being overshadowed by monolithic lecterns!
