Swatt Architects is a full-service architectural firm with more than twenty five years of experience providing their Bay Area clients with comprehensive services in architecture, planning, and interior design. The firm was established in 1975 by Robert Swatt, FAIA, after working in the offices of renowned architects Cesar Pelli and Howard A. Friedman. Steven Stept, AIA, joined the firm in 1987 and was named a principal in 1995.

Robert Swatt was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 1992, in recognition of his consistent achievement of excellence in architectural design. He has been responsible for the design of many diversified projects which have received recognition from the American Institute of Architects, including the 1994 National Honor award for Interiors. His completed projects have been featured in leading architectural publications in the United States, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Robert Swatts projects have ranged in scale from distinct one-of-a-kind custom residences to large-scale commercial, industrial, and health care facilities.
