What we do
House of Copenhagen is an e-Business promoting and selling a selection of high-end Danish design furniture, - built to order, and delivered directly from the Danish manufacturer to consumers, interior designers and businesses in the US.

A new cost efficient, build-to-order logistics, open the opportunity for you to go "Scandinavian Shopping" from your home or office.

Classical Danish design furniture, rare to find at retailers in the US, is now available at price tags close to what Europeans are paying overseas.

In addition, House of Copenhagen is changing the limited availability of well-designed high quality office furniture in the US, with the introduction of a broad program of Danish design furniture for the workspace, executive offices, reception/lobbies and conference rooms. The following 11 companies were selected as the most interesting and successful manufacturers of Danish design furniture: Fredericia Furniture, Magnus Olesen, Fritz Hansen, Globe Furniture, Boisen, Erik Jrgensen, Tranekr Furniture, Rud Rasmussen, Paustian, DJOB and Hansen & Sørensen.

Together, these 11 manufacturers form a program of timeless Danish design furniture that is unique, complementary, and very attractive. The program represents the most famous and influential Danish designers - such as Brge Mogensen, Arne Jacobsen, Foersom/Hiort-Lorenzen, Paul Wolther, Hans Wegner, Erik Jrgensen, Rud Thygesen/Johnny Srensen, Nanna Ditzel, Mogens Koch, and Kaare Klint.

How we do it
An important strategy for House of Copenhagen is to take advantage of new technology, with the goal to reach customers anywhere in the world and implement new tools that make it convenient, cost efficient and fun to go "Scandinavian Shopping" at House of Copenhagen.

Based on three of the founders' lifelong international background in the IT industry (Intel, Compaq Computer, Hewlett-Packard and Evolve Software) we are implementing an exciting new web based 3D modeling program, a tool that makes it possible for you to select and move furniture in 3D from the House of Copenhagen virtual inventory into a room, specified by you. Thereby, in real time, a model very similar to what it will look like in an real environment is created.

Transparency is key. We want you to see, feel and understand exactly what you buy. In our virtual showroom you can view each product and you can see the furniture in unprecedented details using our unique zoom viewer.

Customization is an integrated part of our business. When a piece of design furniture is ordered, the item will be crafted by the world-renowned Danish furniture carpenters, in the form, material and color specified by the customer. House of Copenhagen's customization module makes it possible for you to select your personalized design, online, based on the selection from more than 20 attributes like: wood, fabric, leather, color, size, finish, etc.

A new unique supply chain is the backbone of our business. In a partnership with Wilson Logistics, Denmark and North American Van Lines, we have developed a unique consumer oriented supply chain, moving furniture from a factory in Denmark to the port of New York in less than 14 days. Seven to ten days later the build-to-order furniture is delivered at the customer's doorstep at any destination within the continental US.

You will have access to live, toll-free pre and post sales customer support. House of Copenhagen's staff is trained specifically in online sales of Danish design furniture.
