The association between Hans Wegner and Carl Hansen & Son Mobelfabrik A/S began in 1949. The first furniture model – the iconic “Wishbone Chair” – was presented in 1950 and was followed by a substantial number of chairs, which have all gained status as classic chairs, sought after as collector’s items worldwide. “Our aim has always been to make things as simple and genuine as possible, to show what we could create with our hands, and try to make wood come alive, to give it spirit and vitality”, said Hans Wegner. |
